Meet the Motivators
Welcome to the third installment of our Light ‘n Learn campaign. This collection is inspired by Meet the Motivators, women in leadership symposium, led by Jacqueline Dixon. Meet the Motivators (MTM) is an annual event that aims to educate, inspire, and empower women and girls to pursue leadership roles within their communities and careers.
Similar to our other collections, the two candles in this collection are named to honour the stories of inspiring individuals. In this blog, you will learn the story behind the Favour and Unstoppable candle – inspired by Jacqueline Dixon and Tracy Schmitt.

Why Favour?
Jacqueline Dixon is a highly successful businesswoman. She is the president of New Era Communications, Senior Executive of Comda Advertising, and the Founder of Meet the Motivators. (Keep reading till the end to learn more about the birth of Meet the Motivators!)
Jacqueline chose to name her candle “Favour” as a spiritual representation and give back for how she has been favoured in her personal and professional journey.

Tracy Schmitt - Unstoppable Candle
Why Unstoppable?
Tracy Schmitt is the #1 International MegaSuccess TedX Speaker sharing the stage with Jane Fonda, Dr. Phil, Michael Douglas, John Travolta, Mel Gibson, Mark Wahlberg, Mel Robbins and more! She is a Corporate Consultant with an MBA, a decorated athlete in downhill para-skiing, world cup sailing, deep sea diving and mountain climbing – not to mention, she was the 1st four-way amputee to climb the Himalayas Mountain, sail, scuba dive and Bronze medalist alpine skier.
Tracy is one of the keynote speakers at the 2023 MTM symposium. She chose to name her candle “Unstoppable.” After being told ‘no’ several times in her life, the word unstoppable describes how she looks at her life and how others have described her since she was in kindergarten to this day.

The Birth of Meet the Motivators:
The start of Meet the Motivators was not rooted in a single reason but rather a combination of factors that fueled Dixon’s drive to create this transformative event. One significant factor was her own experience with a devastating divorce, while achieving high levels of success in the business and corporate world. Despite all of Dixon’s achievements, she didn’t feel like she had anyone to share it with, there was a lack of representation of women who looked like her, and she didn’t feel heard. Dixon figured she wasn’t the only one who felt this way, which sparked a common thread and question about powerful women:
“Why does success in the business world often come at the expense of personal relationships? ”
This thought-provoking query became the driving force behind Meet the Motivators.
Jacqueline Dixon recognized the need for a space where women could come together, share their experiences, and find comfort in knowing they were not alone. Meet the Motivators was born out of her desire to connect with other women who could relate to her experience and provide a supportive environment for celebration. Through MTM, Jacqueline aspires to foster hope, strength, and dreams among female leaders.
One of Jacqueline Dixon’s goals for Meet the Motivators is to create a community of powerful female leaders, united by their shared experiences, aspirations, and drive for success under one roof. By bringing together women from various backgrounds and industries, MTM fosters a sense of solidarity and collective empowerment. It provides a platform for networking, collaboration, and mentorship, enabling women to forge meaningful connections and support each other’s growth.
As MTM celebrates its eighth year, Jacqueline Dixon’s vision to create a platform for women in leadership continues to shine light with keynote speakers like Unstoppable Tracy, Hon. Dr. Jean Augustine, RED, and more workshop experts on May 20th – 21st.
